contrary to how it looks, i've not abandoned this place. for some time now i've been wanting to write however i havent found the time to do so until now. time is flying. although many days i find myself in school wishing away the hours for the day to be over, at the end of the week i question how it all happened so fast. sunday i put my deposit in for jmu. today we got our caps and gowns. friday is our senior picnic. and saturday is my last high school dance. what the heck. as cliche as it sounds, it seems like just yesterday i was a baby freshmen riding to school with my sister not knowing where to go or what to say to any upperclassmen. and now 4 years later, here i am. approaching the last few months of high school. although im really excited for what the Lord has in store for me in college, i find myself pleading for time to slow down as i want nothing more than to bask in the precious time i have with those whom i know i wont see as nearly as often once at college. things are going to change. and change is scary. change is inevitable. however without change we would not be pushed out of our comfort zone, surpassing the limitations we as well as others place on ourselves. some change being bigger than others-in a little over 4 months i will live in a new home, seek new fellowship, and begin a new chapter in my life. however i still have 4 months in a place that has shaped me as well as given me a community unlike any other. 4 priceless months in a place i call home. thats 4 months of drinking debs, cheering at soccer games, laying out by the lake, watching baseball, reading on the roof, and spending time with the best people i know. 4 months of adventure. cant think of any better way to spend it.
don't you know time is like a fortune when we take it
Change can be hard, but the best is ahead for you, Caroline. You're about to step out and find your calling! Praying for you as you begin this new adventure :)
