You make beautiful things out of dust.

t minus less than 48 hours until rockbridge wyldlife weekend. i'm beyond excited but definitely nervous too. this will be my first time being the head of a cabin-in the past i've either shadowed with emily or shared a cabin with steph. this year i have some awesome girls helping me out-and i'm so excited for what's in store. this wyldlife year has been a lot different than last, a lot harder too. last year we had a core group of 8th graders that really helped up reach out to younger girls and build relationships. this year without that outlet we've had to basically start over, which is not a bad thing at all. i love love love that are group of 8th grade girls last year are now in high school with us, but it can also be hard not having that resource to meet new girls. with the middle school shutting us out as well its been tough to get some contact work/get to know the girls outside of club. slowly but surely it will happen though. we have over 100 kids from cave spring and hidden valley coming to camp this weekend, which is crazy. i really should be sleeping/resting up before this weekend instead of writing this right now...haha middle schoolers are pretty darn crazy and love staying up wayy later than i do. but its so fun getting to spend a weekend with them. middle school is pretty tough sometimes, it's a lot of drama and kids trying to fit in. one of my favorite things about rockbridge is that when they're there they dont have to worry about that stuff. they dont have to worry about what others think about them. hopefully they just get to have fun and hear about the guy who created them and loves them so freaking much. it's sweet. like i said i'm beyond excited to see what the Lord has in store for us this weekend.
