so silly for being so stressed

well i did it. i gave my first wyldlife talk. i'll take you guys (jenny, emily, and claudia-you guys are really the only ones that read this and now leah too! haha) through my night. to start off, i came home after school with steph to practice my talk before we headed to the church. we were upstairs and i was about half way through it when my door opened. and emily walks in. it was literally the best surprise ever. we got emotional...when do we not? and spent the next few minutes getting side track, laughing, catching up it was great. we headed to the church and i got to practice one last time before the rest of the leaders got there. and then em and steph prayed for me-thank you guys. couldn't have asked for anything better/anyone better to share that with. so kids started arriving. and we got to hang out for a while outside. i met some new girls, and got to know some girls that i didn't know very well. it was sweet. last night was different for me. i'm not sure why, but it just felt different. i had a new confidence in Him. i was able to keep conversation with girls i had never talked to, i got the opportunity to make new relationships with parents. club started, we sang, ate gross food, threw hot dogs-totally wyldlife/younglife things-and then it was my turn. i was really nervous walking up to the stage (i was on a stage since it was at the church-even more scary!) but i got up there and all the stress was relieved.  it was one of the most real times i've felt the Lord with me. i know for sure i would not have been able to get on that stage and talk in front of those kids if i had not had Him with me. and i had a new found confidence. that confidence wasn't in myself but in christ. i knew that what i was going to say wouldn't be from me but from Him. i laughed at myself half way through for how silly i was to have been so nervous about it. the Lord always provides. why did i doubt?! afterwards, i was talking to fetz and just apologizing becuase i thought my talk had been really short-like 5 minutes but he said it was around12 mins. the time flew by while i was on stage. i'm beyond blesses to have the opportunity to talk to these kids about where real life is found, who jesus is as a person, and how much He loves us. it was definitely something i will never forget. and i just feel so much more confident with how the Lord is working in my life.
