i really should be studying for my history test that i have tomorrow but i figure there's a pretty big chance i'm not gonna do well on that anyways so yeah...Emily is coming home this weekend. i'm beyond excited. for like 6 months straight (december to june/july) we saw each other everyday. it was horrible if we went 2-3 days without seeing each other. it was like something was missing. and now she's at college. its been hard not seeing her everyday, but it definitely makes the times she comes home or i get to go up there more special. I still have steph though, which i'm so thankful for. it's like i'm atleast 2/3 complete just missing our other third...haha we've been through a lot/shared a ton of memories together in a pretty short amount of time, and its cool looking back to see how the Lord has moved in our lives, put us together and shared with us some sweet times.
i didn't know who emily or stephanie (her sister) was up until december. i knew of them but i dont think i had ever talked to either of them...maybe once or twice for like .4 seconds...but in december i ended up doing a workcrew weekend up at rockbridge. it was awesome. i road up there with emily and paris-we ended up getting reaaally lost, being late to camp, and rushing to where we were supposed to be before the campers arrived. but it was one of the best car trips ever. i thought it was going to be awkward since i had never really talked to emily before and i really only knew paris through cheerleading. but we instantly connected and we were able to get real and deep in a matter of mins. its definitely something i will never forget. over the course of that weekend emily and i really got to talk. share our hearts. where we are with the Lord. boys. everything. like i said it was awesome. i had never really had that with any of my friends at home so it was definitely something new for me to share with a friend (and one that i had only known for a day or two). it just so happened that emily liked/ended up dating my boyfriend (at the time)'s best friend. from that weekend on we continued to become closer and closer, walking and growing with each other and our relationships with the Lord. we also got to spend so much time together with each other while hanging out with our boyfriends since they were best friends too-it was the best of both worlds. and to add to it all, em introduced me to her sister-stephanie. she's so so great. the more we hung out together the more sister-like we become. our relationship/friendship/sisterhood whatever you want to call it, is unlike any other. (i'm not trying to brag or sound all high and mighty). the reason its different is because our sisterhood is centered around Christ, our foundation is in Him. i could not explain to you in words how much i love these two girls-just like the Lord's love for us-i can't even fathom how deep, wide, high His love is for me, but i get a glimpse of it through these girls. i see Christ in every aspect of them, its so encouraging. yes, we do fall, make mistakes but we're there for each other to "spur one another on towards love and good deeds", we encourage each other, read together, pray together, share our hearts. its the best. fellowship is so so awesome. without em and steph i wouldn't be where i am today in my relationship with Christ. a year ago, heck even 7 or 8 months ago i would have never guessed i would be best friends with these girls. the Lord works in the coolest ways. I'm blessed and very very thankful to do life with them.
in the 7 months we all got to be together we...
went to workcrew weekend, hiking, wyldlife, first priority, summer camp, wyldlife week camp, countless weekends together, late night car talks, campaigners, spring wyldlife weekend, prayer overnight, martinsville road trip, richmond states road trip, and i'm sure theres so much more. like i said we spent like everyday together....love these girls so much.
it's getting late, i really should study/go to bed. but i loved getting to reminisce on these things. so worth it.
ps-i dont really read over my blog posts so i'm sure i have some mistakes in there...sorryy
