i love how music can stir up something deep inside us that resinates for not only the duration of the song but even after that.

i've found myself humming this song for the last few days. unable to get it out of my head (not complaining). a friend reminded me of it a few nights ago, we sang it at prayer overnight, i have it on cd in my car, and we sang it at campaigners this morning. its one of those songs that when you start singing it others join in. i love that. i used to somewhat dread worship time at church or campaigners (maybe because i dont have a good voice and thought more about that than the actual songs...not sure) but over the last year that has totally changed. not that my voice has gotten any better...but i know the Lord doesnt care. he delights in us worshipping with and to Him. and after that realization, i was able to see the truths in the songs we sing. the truths that not only give us the opportunity to praise the lord for who He is and what's He's done, but also for who we are now in Him and what that means in our lives. one of my favorite things at prayer overnight is worshipping with 1,200 other people. singing loud and passionately. the presence of the Lord is thick and the fellowship with others in that time is unlike anything else.
music. it evokes and reveals emotions, truths we sometimes didnt know exsisted otherwise. it brings people together. and it resinates long after the ending of a song.
