we've got a light here that's not going away
i've started to realize the community i have here is a rarity. i am blessed to be surrounded by people who share the same vision of running after christ. i would not be who i am or where i am today without them. it is so difficult to walk this path by ourselves. and we're not meant to. we're meant to share in it with others, our joys, our fears, our prayers. we're meant to encourage each other. to hold each other accountable. and for the past 2 and half years i've had a strong, steady, group of sisters and brothers who do just that. but with new beginnings comes new endings. and that scares me. going off to college is exciting and new and i know the Lord has some sweet plans in store. but the fact that i have to start over again in finding that fellowship, in getting past the uncomfortable/awkwardness of meeting new people, freaks me out. i want to stay in the comfortableness of my small group where sharing our hearts is easy. i want to listen to the sweet things others see the Lord doing in our school. i want to continue to learn from the leaders who have led me from the beginning. i want to stay where i am. but i realize thats not what walking with the Lord is. there will be change. different seasons of life will bring new relationships. and He places those people in our lives at a specific time for a reason. i think about where i was a little less than 3 years ago, alone, trying to figure out who would be walking alongside me in this adventure and how the Lord provided more than i could have ever imagined. relationships were formed that cant be broken by distance. relationships that are founded on something not of this world, but something that is impenetrable. wherever i am next year, He's gonna provide. and that is what i will rest in.
